On September 6, under the guidance of the International Cooperation Centre (ICC) of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the China Public Diplomacy Association (CPDA), the Chaoyang District People's Government of Beijing Municipality, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, and the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality jointly hosted the 2022 Beijing International Cooperation Forum and CBD Forum at Beijing Yintai Centre, which kicked off a series of activities in the Beijing CBD International Business Festival.

Themed "Deeply integrating into global cooperation and enhancing the city's opening-up vitality", the forum focused on the CBD development in the context of globalization, fully tapped Beijing CBD's strengths in gathering international high-end resources, and promoted the integrated development of various international factors, with a view of enhancing the openness and vitality of Beijing CBD.

At the forum, the Chaoyang District People's Government of Beijing Municipality signed a strategic cooperation agreement with ICC, and the results of the implementation of "three centres and twin platforms" in Beijing CBD was released. The forum received guidance and support from national platforms and international organizations such as the Global Business Districts Innovation Club and China CBD Alliance.

At the forum, dozens of representatives of international organizations, representatives of sister cities, diplomatic envoys in China, and heads of international chambers of commerce, including Wu Hailong, President of China Public Diplomacy Association, Huang Yong, director of ICC, Xia Zehan, Representative and Director of UNESCO in China, Yuh Pok-Keun, Diplomat at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in China, Yoichi Ikezoe, Chairman of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China, Harald Preuner, Mayor of Salzburg, Austria, and Sir Danny Alexander, Vice President of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank gave keynote speeches on topics such as strengthening international cooperation, sustainable urban development, and grasping new opportunities. Relevant persons in charge of Yintai Foundation attended the opening of the forum.

Experiencing 2022 Beijing CBD Mid-Autumn Festival Night and visiting Beijing Yintai Centre

On the same day, the 2022 Beijing CBD Mid-Autumn Festival Night hosted by the CPDA and undertaken by the Management Committee of Beijing CBD was held. More than 80 foreign media reporters from Africa, Latin America, Eurasia, Arab, and Asia-Pacific were invited to Beijing CBD to enjoy the immersive experience of the Metaverse Digital Exhibition of the Beijing CBD International Business Festival, new Chinese trends, intangible cultural heritage skills, cultural performances, and other events showcasing Chinese traditional cultural heritage. It was an opportunity for them to experience the urban architectural texture of Beijing CBD and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival together.

As an important part of the event, the reporters visited Beijing Yintai Centre for an immersive experience of the digital exhibition of Beijing CBD Metaverse. They watched the exhibition of works in the CBD video festival, visited the first Huawei new concept store in the country, and experience trending Chinese electronic products and Chinese-made electric vehicles. A reporter from a Central Asian country marvelled at the rapid development of China's science and technology, and its chic and practical electronic products. The reporters also visited the China Grill restaurant on the 66^th floor of Park Hyatt at Beijing Yintai Centre to take in the view of Beijing's achievements in urban development and construction.

The Beijing CBD International Business Festival (formerly known as the Beijing CBD Business Festival) has been successfully held for 22 times and it is one of the most important business activities in Beijing. It has kept pace with the times for more than two decades, accumulating rich international resources, and it plays an important role in promoting the development and international reputation of Chaoyang District and Beijing CBD.
